Hello

I have just joined so still trying to understand all the options for GPS.

I have just received a Toys R Us leaflet with a Yakumo GPS / PDA unit for £279. It has navigation software called Marco Polo but the picture in the leaflet of the software does not look very impressive. Is the software any good or should I budget to buy a better piece of software to install later?

Hi Monkey,

I sometimes use the Marco Polo software and it's very good.
the screen is nice and clear to read and not blurred like Tomtom.
It also works very well with post codes and gives plenty of advanced warning of any turns that you may need to take.
unlike TomTom (in 3 seconds take the next left)
the downside is, nobody has worked out how to put the gatso database into Marco Polo.

For anybody that's interested, the Marco Polo software is the same as Falk Navigator, it just has a different front end on it.
