Sometime ago (when I completed my first down load) I made the mistake of downloading in km and mtrs. I have since seen the light and downloaded the data base in MPH and Ft. Unfortunately I cannot get rid of the KMPH database. The POI load allows you to delete files and will do so for the MPH version but not the KKMPH version (I just can get rid of all the POI). So I get warnings for MPH and every now and again KMPH (19mph warning) How do I delete all the custom points on this unit so that I can start again? It does appear that the POI are stored on the SD card - if this helps!

You can manually delete the files, connect your Garmin and browse to the Garmin/POI folder.

You will see one or more files within with the name poi.gpi or poi1.gpi.

For safety copy these to your desktop then delete from the Garmin.

That has expunged all the POIs installed, now just re-install using POILoader.

If none of this matches what you see, post back here and we can take it from there.

As you have an SD card you'll need to use a card reader to navigate to the folder mentioned above (i3 doesn't support Mass Storage).

Are you accessing the i3's memory card via a card reader?

I don't have one that fits the micro SD. Is there another way?

Nope, you either need a card reader that accepts microSD or a microSD to SD adapter and a card reader that will accept SD.

Not without a card reader, that i can think of. You need to delete the files from the card.

Even a User Data Reset doesn't delete the POI files....

The reader can usually be bought for less than a tenner...

£6.99 here
