Hi all

I was guided here from running searches on the above, so this is my first post! I have been reading through the post re the voice problems after the 8.3 upgrade but it seems that most people were experiencing the voices breaking up. On my 520GO no voice directions, sound, speed warnings or camera warning work.

All were working fine until 8.3 was installed and now I don’t get any voice directions no warning sounds no voice saying the phone is connected and ring when the phone rings through hands free. I have tried everything on the tom tom its self checking the speaker and making sure the volume is turned, that all the options are selected but still no joy. Also tried re-setting the unit and that hasn’t helped.

I know the speaker is still working as I can play music through it and the voices work when you test it in the voice select screen, it’s just purely when on the front direction screen you get nothing.

I was hoping that someone out there my have experienced this or know what’s wrong I do over 600 miles a week and as I said it worked fine before the install of 8.3.

Any help appreciated and thank you for your time.

Matt

Do a hard reset first using a paperclip - if that doesn't work do a soft reset from the menu.

Might be worth trying the ClearFlash tool as well.
