Apologies Mike, I maybe didn't make myself clear. Embarassed

I'm refering to the changes in Mapsettings.cfg only.

Given that I can use an 8.10 file with no favourites in 8.15 but others with favourites can't use their 8.10 files in 8.15, it appeared to me that the change in the file that causes problems is associated with favourites. Given they can be extracted by POIEdit they must be in the normal POI format in the old file.

I might have a play later. ( If it doesn't work at least I'll stop anyone else wasting their time! Very Happy )

Today, I had to travel from Peterborough to Preston, and then back via Colne and Keighley.

Using my 920 to plan my route, I enabled the TomTom speed cameras, and thought as TomTom cameras are now directional, they could act as a 2nd warning with a siren, along side my PGSPW cameras and their spoken alerts. So I downloaded lastest UK camears from Tomtom before setting out.

So off I set and what an interesting experience Ihad.

I found TomTom to be missing about a great deal of all cameras on my route, then after a warning of a PGSPW speed camera followed by the Siren sounds for a TomTom camera, which was odd as I knew there was no camera on my side of dual carriage way.

Then I twigged. TomTom cameras may be directional now, but they have added another problem to overcome, with some cameras being listed with wrong 'direction of travel' information e.g. You approach a Gatso located on opposite side of road/carriage way, and it will sound off, but you will not be alerted if you go past it on your side of road on your return when it is supposed to!.

Has anyone else noticed this

Note, this does not apply to HD data (I hope not), as these are TomToms own database suplied and updated via home and came with my 920.

On a long drive today, I notice that the PGPSWorld small camera icon on the map is often (about 4-noted) 50-65yards ahead of its actual position on the road.

Is this a phantom issue or is it post Navcore update?

Yes the tomtom speed camera database seems to have lots of problems with the direction of the cameras and even precisely which road they are on (camera covering two roads side by side). Before 8.3 this didnt matter but now of course it does.

Keep nagging tomtom and they might do something about it eventually.

Thanks gblades, but it's the PGPSWorld database that I use, unless one gets in the way of the other.

I'm not even sure the TomTom's are on my map, you cannot deselect them as you can with the Garmin.

I can't see how TomTom's Navcore upgrade could have affected these POI's but those who know about these things may!
