TomTom IQ Routes

Have just upgraded my TT 720T up to firmware 8.3 and purchased the updated annual map subs.

This now includes lane guidance and IQ Routes.

I can find lane guidance on the menu and it works really well,but no IQ routes in there. Is there an actual icon on the menu for it or is it automatically included?

If not then how do I know its set up, or indeed set it up if I need to do that?

When you plan a trip the device will provide a summary screen showing your route, under the small map will be some text stating IQ Route weekdays or weekend - Mike

Hi,

it's change preferences->Planning preferences->IQ routes (tab at bottom of screen) - Enable - think it defaults to this setting but worth checking.

You can see if it's on by plotting a route - in the summary it will tell you that it's picked either a weekday or weekend route if IQ routes is enabled.

Hi there thanks for the info,

I just tried to plan a route and it says under the map in whaite writing 'fastest route' (weekday) Does this mean its working No Icon just white writing under the map?

Does this mean it is enabled?

If so I presume its automatic from now on and you cannot disable/enable it?

If you choose the route to be **anything but** fastest, IQ routing does not get enabled.
