It's the 2nd. You have to find a secret number printed on the inside of the cardboard sleeve that the box is wrapped in. You then need to log this key on a website between 30 and 60 days from purchase. You then need to go fill up you car and send the receipt together with a print-out from the website in. Or at least that is how I understand it. Far from straight forward... but hey, for £50 one can survive having to do things the slightly long-winded way.
Of course, there's a risk that the website doesn't work. But naah, after all, it's TomTom, and they always test things well! |

According to others here, you register on the site, they send you a £50 fuel card which you use at your pleasure. There may be restrictions on which pumps you can use and you do have to register 30 - 60 days after purchase but it's a genuine offer. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Cheers Guys.
Appreciate the info on the fuel card.
Any news on the maps. Are they the standard V810 the same as the last update for the x30 series? |

The maps may well be from the same data set but they contain the additional data for the revised IQ Routes (day/ hour rather than weekday/ weekend) - Mike |

This is the information I would like someone to confirm. The extended IQ Routes don't work on a 720 with Navcore 8.2 and V810 maps, but an x40 might make a difference. |

You will also need the other four digits of the map so IQ2 needs v810.1934 - Mike |

Note: it is only £30 for the 540, which the OP mentioned. The 740 and 940 have £40 and £50 respectively. |

Aha, is that the map version supplied with the new devices? Would be interesting to know the size of one of these V810.1934 maps comparing with it's corresponding V810.1907 map. If Mike's theory is correct the difference in size should be because of the new 24/7 data.
I would be most interested to hear someone if the routing with the enhanced IQ Routes data is any different from the regular one that only calculates based on weekday/weekend.

I hadn't even noticed a fuel card promotion was included when I bought it. Makes it that little bit cheaper. Hopefully get a little for my old TT One as well. |
