Hi All
Got my 540 today. All seems fine, apart from the fact it doesn't seem to automatically dim the display like my 520 did. Any ideas? I've got the 'Turn Brbrightness down when dark' and 'Switch to night view when dark' options ticked.
Have I got a faulty unit? Am I doing something stupid?
Thanks |

I seem to remember that on previous models with an active mount, it only dimmed when it was on the mount. Maybe the same thing with yours? |

The x40 does require to be in the car mount for the day/ night dimming and mode switch to work, if you think its not working correctly try covering the light sensor which is on the right side of the device, it looks like a small bit of clear plastic visible on the front right, with it covered does it dim? - Mike |

Thanks. I've not tried it on the mount / in the car yet. Will give it a go later. |
