I've loaded the real voice sound alerts but they don't work

I've downloaded, unzipped and saved the voice alerts for speed cameras onto my nuvi 200 (together with the current speed zoned complete camera locations), but although the site shows and I get the usual 'bing bing' the voice alerts don't work as I approach a camera site.
Any ideas why this might be happening?
I've checked the download folder on my computer, and the mp3 files play fine from there.

Strangely enough, there's a very similar post just below yours (HERE), and from that one it looks like we've only just discovered that only the Nuvis with an mp3 player are capable of playing the mp3 voice alerts.
The 250 can't, so I don't think the 200 can.... Crying or Very sad

If you read that other topic, you may well be able to get it going using .wav file versions of the alerts and an old version of POILoader.

Oh well, looks like I'll just have to keep looking at the screen to confirm speed limits after hearing the bong noise.

No, I read it through and decided that it sounded like more hassle than the possible end result is worth.
I'm going to have a look at installing the larger icons/symbols instead which should be easier/quicker to read than the red band across the top of the screen whilst driving.
