Go 540 Live - TomTom Safety Cameras

Hi,

When I connected to Live for the first time I was offered the latest application and the new maps. I also got a free download of TomTom's own Safety Camera Database.

The 540 can download updates to the mobile camera database but it needs to connect via Home to update the static cameras. Does anyone know if you need a separate subscription to the static camera database or is this included in the £7.99 monthly subscription?

The TomTom camera database doesn't seem very up-to-date. There is a static camera near to where I work in Sheffield that's been up for at least a couple of years but it's not in the database. Yet the red-light camera at the end of the street is.

You don't need a separate subscription for the TomTom camera database (and considering their accuracy, you wouldn't want to be paying for them!!). I expect you'll find it is in the PocketGPSWorld database though.
