Advice on my Nuvi 200

I recently got a Nuvi 200, and the navigation isnt as good as my old streetpilot i3.

On a test drive with both unit settings set up indentically, the i3 goes directly to selected location, Ive had the i3 for a couple of years, and has always been spot on.

The Nuvi 200 however, wont go to the desired location till its been up and down streets that it doesnt really need to, any ideas why my old i3 is still better than this new one

Check which navigation mode you have selected on the devices. I.e. fastest, quickest... They should be the same for meaningful comparisons.

Also - are the maps at the same version? Some of the routing variations are determined by information contained in the map files. Going from Europe V9 to 2008NT (V10) made very noticable changes to the routing calculation on my nuvi 660 for "quickest" journies.

It does appear that the maps of both units are of a different version, hence the slight change in navigation.
