Thanks for trying that
It makes "hoes" experiences even more of a mystery then.
If he had the operating system files copied to the SD card as well, then it would boot from it OK, but he says he only has one drive showing in Windows.... |

Sorry for the delay. The internal map is just UK and ROI. Using TomTom home, with the SD card in, it shows both maps i.e. UK + ROI and Western Europe. Again from TOMTom Home it says the total memory is 978.1MB
I hope this is helpful

Thanks for coming back with that info.
Yes, that's interesting... up to now the models pre the x20 range have never been able to access both storage places at once.
It looks like that is something they have managed to enable with Navcore 8 software, but I don't think I'd seen it mentioned anywhere. |

One last thing if its helpful, and which I should have mentioned earlier, with the SD card in, when first switching on it asks which map you want to use (UK + ROI or Western Europe). If you select the SD card (i.e West Europe) everything you do thereafter e.g. icons, POIs, voices, favourites go onto the SD card (seemingly) and not the internal memory. Hence you have to set everything up twice if you want to keep the card in but use the later UK + ROI map. That's why I'll leave the SD card out until I have the need for it.
