Article on this web site seems to indicate that this is fairly imminent.

Nothing on GARMIN as yet though - as far as I could see.

Yet more choices for a decent OSGB solution. But - if true - this would be running on a proven manufacturer of high quality, rugged, GPS receivers.

Now who can I get to buy me one for Christmas?

Edited - a few minutes later than orig post.

Just noticed that the site above says the OSGB mapping should be compatible with the Colorado - excellent - much cheaper Christmas present!

Just watch it be a wind-up!

See this GARMIN page for info The product is called GB Active.

It seems the software has been re-named:-

Garmin GB Discoverer

I had a reply from Garmin UK saying hopefully by the end of the year. I guess this is of no help at all!

It's due out at the start of December (although I don't have an exact date). As for price, it's supposed to be £129.99 for the UK, although I think that's for the lower resolution OS mapping; I've heard much larger figures for the higher res mapping.

swing - you got the price right but what you get is....

1:25K of the region you specify
1:50K of the region you specify
1:250K OSGB Britain map
1:1M OSGB Map
Vector routing map of UK.

This seems to be a bit of overkill as you get all this for each region you buy - but as it's on SD card I guess you need it each time. It is still VERY expensive. Makes Quo and even Memory Map seem inexpensive. May get the Peak District at some time - but will try to wait a while to see if the prices come down a bit.

I guess they are trying to do a RoadAngel approach. Navigate to your walk by car, then zoom in as you start the walk.

Garmin GB Discoverer National Parks MicroSD GPS Map
Lake District

This has been on sale all day for £114.50 - free P+P

Very expensive compared with Fugawi on my iQue!
