I have had a tomtom one for years, never had any problems till the last update. It has started getting location wrong like Andy says. It's a bug in the software.

Hi sbuckler
Surely, if the problem was caused by a bug in the software then we would all fall victim to the GPS shift.
What is the cause, pass.

The person who figures out:
1. Why the drift happens for some
2. Why some units are turning on by themselves

will replace Leonard DiCaprio as "King of the World" Laughing

(well, you had to have seen the movie, Titanic )

Try the clear flash tool and restore factory defalults then see what it does -Mike

Just done a clearflash...
Thought I'd try that on its own first before I go through the pain of a "restore factory settings" Crying or Very sad (I'm assuming that doing one of those and then replacing the settings from a backup, kind of defeats the object?)

Andy, could it be anything to do with your unit getting too hot?

Forgot to reply to this one... nope it's been quite cool.
