Direct Route ?

Hi, I have TomTom Navigator 6 on my HTC TyTn, which I love, but I do a lot of off road driving, is there any way I can get it to navigate point to point ie direct route and ignore the roads?

Umm I think its a bit difficult to navigate to a point without there being any roads ( or pathways involved ).

At best your get a straight dotted line showing you where you want to go, but how would any device know there was a brickwall or a tree in the way?

Have a look at Tracky which Darren mentioned in This Post, or consider MemoryMap or Quo, both of which use Ordnance Survey maps with your present position displayed on the map as well as your planned route.

I wouldn't mess around too much with the Tomom application off road on a PDA as its really not suitable - it is an on road navigation software package at the end of the day - Mike
