Itinery function.....whats it do ?

I am torn between getting a Garmin 760T or a Tomtom 730T.
I like the Tomtom for the Map Share and I like the Garmin for the Multi Destination function.

On another thread somebody posted a reply to me that the Tomtom has a multi destination function ( sort of ) called Itinery.

Is Itinery a multi destination function ?
How many destinations can you enter in at one time ?
Do the destinations entered automatically sort out the most direct route to each address ?
Is this Itinery function on the Tomtom 730T ?

Itinerary function is on the 730T, it provides a way to plan a route via upto 50 (I think) different waypoints in one single pass, it has no way to optimise the route for minimum distance, you can use AutoRoute to do the route optimisation then convert the output from AutoRoute to a file type the TomTom will understand - Mike

I use the Itinerary function many times per month and find it works brilliantly. However, as Mike has all ready pointed out it has no multi destination function. I am a courier and I take it that by ‘multi destination function’ you mean the ability to sort out the best route to visit various addresses.
Now, I can assure you that if I could enter 20 addresses and my 720 could plan the best route enabling me to drop off my boxes and packages I would be over the moon.
That function would be more use to me than all the bells and whistles that now adorn the Tomtoms.
