how to get version 8.00 software on 520

Hi,

I have just purchased a go 520, i connected it up to tomtom home, and when i went to the get updates for my tomtom,the updates suggested i needed a software version upgrade Confused

so when i clicked on the more info button,it stated version 7.481 of software Confused

how can this be,i thought we were on version 8.00 software, my current map version is 7.15 can anyone tell me how i get version 8.00 software Confused

as i am new to this,when i connected my 520 i did not log in/register with tomtom ,i just connected mt 520 by the usb connection, Sad

anyone with any ideas,thanks for any help or advice. Smile

If I recall correctly you need to install v7.481 before HOME will offer the v8 upgrade to you.

This is how it works:
-do the 7.481 upgrade
-restart the device
-check for updates(again)
-it will then give you the v8 update
