Think I lost the cab file on my PNA350 running Navigator 5.1

Hi All,

Well, just moved over here to the Czech Republic and brought my trusty PNA350 running Medion 5.1.

All ws well and good until I decided to use the SD card for my camera, and on adding the 3 files I had saved to my PC (autorunce, Europe B and mnavdce) I am finding my unit cannot get past the

It loads Medion Navigator, and then I press the Navigation logo (two logos on the screen, Settings & Navigation), the hour glass comes up and then the usual "please note that the road traffic regulations are prior to the instructions......". Its here the fault comes, because no amount of pressing the green button will get to the next step.

I'm wondering whether the cab file is missing or hidden, and I don't know how to get it.

Unfortunately, I lost the box with the discs, etc, in the move across (I have a sneaky suspicion the box got thrown out in the post-move clean up).

Can anyone help? I don't have the cash to buy a new set of maps.....

Hi,
I've not got any experience with the 350 but as far as the 210 goes, it sounds like you're missing some of the program, not the maps. I have screwed around with my 210 to learn how to sort it and never got what you have. If you leave the map files out, it will advance beyond the point where yours is sticking but with an error message saying that it can't find the map data.

Sorry I can't help you more,you could try PM'ing DaveNN who is also a Medion whizz though I think like me it's only the smaller units he knows.

Hi again,

Don't know if this helps, Iwas just looking at my MDPNA210T install folder and it has the files you say you have (apart from EuropeB), but it also has a number of 'Shell' CAB files in the format:-

shell_MDPNAXXXX.cab where XXXX is the model name.

Unfortunately the 350 is not listed or I could try to get you the cab file somehow(as long as that's ok with the Mods?)

It also has a 'shell_hplar.cab' file

I'll keep having a dig to see if I can come up with anything else.

Thanks, any help would be appreciated, as the unit is still not working and Medion (understandably) will not asssist.
