the sats don't care about summer time. they always work off GMT.

It wouldnt work anyhow - right now you (Europe) are on summer time while we (US) are not - we switch a week later.

Lutz,

"the sats don't care about summer time. they always work off GMT."

In the interest of pedantry, don't they work off UTC?

You have to change the time zone on it so it reads GMT + 1 hour. Have a hunt through the settings, I am sure you will find it there somewhere.

If you think about it, the GPS receiver would have a difficult job tracking all the different time zones in the world, so they don't bother. They just use a fixed time zone (known as UTC or GMT) and leave the user to apply an offset depending on how many hours ahead or behind universal time they are.
