The best option would be to use the T1 or a B2+ which is now only £19.99 http://ukstore.navmanstores.com/Accessories/F20%20F30%20F40%20F50/B2+___320.htm
This would let you charge the device and give you bluetooth and traffic.

The map updates are sold on SD card so esentially a PC connection is only needed to update the safety cameras and add custon poi's.

Messing around soldering the charger cables to the PCB will not fix the issue with the data connection and updates to the device (if Navman even support this hardware anymore).

I still think the best approach is the T1 RDS unit, see if Gee-Pee still has one available, although we are some 9 months further down the road since this was suggested - Mike
