Hi all,

I am having some problems with POI's months back i downloaded lots of POI's and never thought anything about it, fast forward to tonight and I am now a member of the National Trust.

I am going to Edinburgh at the weekend and I thought would load the National Trust POI into my TTG 720.

pasted it into the WE map with all the others, disconnected, tried navigate to POI National Trust and its not there!!!

Went back into the WE map directory and noticed from the big list of POI's i downloaded a few months backloads are not showing on the device just like the national trust one.

Could someone please explain what the issue is and how to get around it?

Please help

Best regards

Big list, you say?

There is a limit, I'm not sure, but I think it's maybe 100. It may be
more, even 300 now.

On the other hand, it may simply be that you haven't "activated" them? Try Browse Map, Options, POI and see if they show there and make sure they are ticked.

However, now might be a good time to reconsider what you want on there - at least for this weekend.

169 is the limit for number of custom POI files on the device, view the map folder using Wndows Explorer and count up the number of files with an extension of ov2 these are your custom POI files, if there are more than 169 some rationalisation is going to be needed - if you have deleted something important do you have a backup from when you purchased the device? - Mike

Hi austhorpe
If you have made a backup as Turbo10 has just asked all will be ok. However, if not……..oh dear.
