Acer laptop can't see wireless network

hi all,

does anyone have any ideas on this? I have a wireless home network set up with a belkin router.
Trouble is all the comps can see the network except the ACER travelmate laptop. I have updated firmware on all.
The SSID is broadcast
MAC filtering is off
The ACER has its own IP and is on same subnet

It finds 6 other local networks but doesnt see my home one? really puzzled as i have acessed a mates belkin network before so doesnt seem to be a belkin/acer thing.

If you can get into the router settings try changing the channel. Increase the number and see if that helps. If you can see what the other routers are using try to avoid choosing one next to someone elses (i.e. if next door is using Channel 4 try to avoid using 3 or 5) many router use a common default channel number and it's possible your router is being drowned out....

thanks for the reply, i have just cured it....

basically i updated the wireless driver from the ACER website that had the intel driver version 8
went on the intel site and downloaded the proset version 12.4 and it picked up straight away...result!
