Tomtom One V1 And Home - Nothing Happens

I was looking to upgrade my old V1 Tomtom One but have decided to keep it as it does the job.

However I thought I might as well update the software etc and maybe the maps.

I have downloaded the 'Home' sofftware but when I connect my One nothing happens.

(It says it will be recognised etc)

I can go via 'my computer' and read whats on the SD card etc but thats it.

Is it that my Tomtom is too old or am I doing something wrong ?

(admittedly I can't be sure I have the correct lead but I've tried 2 and they both appear to work fine)

I think you 'may' need the old v1.5/v1.6 version of home to begin with and once its recognised that then it should ask you to download the new version 2 of tthome. The link to 'oldboys`s' tomtom site escapes me, but im sure someone will be along soon with it.

I may of course be wrong but i think thats what the problem is.

Yep. That's almost certainly the problem. I updated my TT1 V.1 a couple of weeks ago and had to do it all in a stepwise fashion. Got there in the end and now have App 7.162 with maps v720.1802. The site you need to download the old versions of TTH is:

Downloaded, worked straight away.

Updated Tomtom (the first step anyway)

Will have to start reading up on what all the different versions / updates do.

But pleased to have conquered the first step.
