On Staurday I used Content Manager to update my own, my son's and my daughter's XT960.
I went to check one of them today and Content manager will not run.
AND
All the ViaMichelin Websites show "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

Anyone know anything ???

well they pulled out of the navigation business earlier in the year but they were supposed to keep support up for the devices.

have you tried again today?

Hi,

I've just tried the uk site but get nothing.

www.viamichelin.com works though.

Edit: Clicking on English takes you to UK site on a different url to the one I had bookmarked

Content Manager will only run if the device is connected. What exactly is happening? (or not Wink )

I've tried the French and Italian sites - no go! I wonder if the loss of website connection might be why Content Manager won't run? When it is working it has a link to the website, so maybe it checks for that when it starts?

If so, then if it's a problem with their website that they are trying to clear, CM should hopefully work once they have sorted it. (The site has a lot more than just satnav info, so I can't imagine they've just pulled the plug - unless Michelin itself has actually gone under of course) Shocked Confused

Spikey - the loading VM Content manager screen appears, than just stays there
I have4 960 and had registered one of them - this allowed me to run CM and update them all
VM site - does not accept my email and password
0870 support have no idea

I have uninstalled it now - DOH! I can't seem to register any of them now on a new install
Sad

NEW site is saying exceptional difficulties would you like to switch to old site - nothing there

it looks like you need site to be up before you can run CM

Sorry for the delay. I've now got my 980 to hand.

I've been able to update my device with July cameras with no problems. The "Activating Content Manager" screen was probably a bit slower than usual, but other than that I don't know why it's not working for you.

Have you been through reactivation? I know it's a pain as I've had to reinstall back to v6 and back up to v7 about 3 times now due to PC problems, but each time it's gone very smoothly.

chers spikey - issue due to problems with the VM website earlier today,it's all back online now and working - thanks for your input, much appreciated.
It is the case that if site offline then CM won't work!
it's just a pity that the system can't cope with more than one device - to update the other 2 I have had to uninstall all software and re-install for each one !

Glad you got it sorted, albeit with a lot of hassle by the sound of it.

It makes a change for my timing to be right, I must have caught them at the right moment.

Thumbs Up Good Luck
