I run TTN2 on a 3970 with a TT Bluetooth GPS and TrafCam

All worked a dream until I dropped the PDA.

Sent it off to the menders, came back today. Had to reinstall TrafCam and Navigator which I did without reference to the manual.

All the other programs Excel - Word - Outlook, run just as they used to.

Navigator runs so slowly I generally end up resetting rather than waiting for further sign of action.

What I'd like to know is, how do I go about fault finding? Is it just clear everything and re-install, or are there more sophisticated diagnostic procedures?

First you should try another storage card. If that helps then your current storage card may be fragmented too badly. Copy all the data off the card, reformat it, and copy the data back. See if that helps.

If they replaced the 3970 they may not have installed the ROM upgrades. Make sure it's on ROM 2.10, and make sure the SD driver update is also installed.

OK, so far so good.

It reads 2.10 when I rest, so I would guess the ROM is up to date.

How do I find out if the SD driver update is there or not?

I think this may be nearer the mark as it took some 20+ minutes to upload the 92Mb of maps from my PC to the SD card. Doubt this would be the driver on the IPAQ (?) and the card itself was running OK after I dropped the PDA.

My guess would be that I need to refomat the card...

..But how?
