For me it'll be that manufacturers will stop messing about with stupid fluff like mp3 players, video players, picture viewers, audio book players and FM transmitters and get back to concentrating on the Routing Engine (inc stuff like IQ Routes & TMC Traffic) and Map Updates.
I often wonder how much R&D and UAT time was "lost" to such trivialities... |

For me, I'd like them to have half decent maps.
The TT ones are pretty naff, I don't mean them being as detailed as OS maps, but I'm sure more could be done.
Rivers, some contours, a little more detail like you find in any Road Atlas. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

i think it'd be handy if the maps had data for traffic light locations. that way we could add a setting to the routing options such as 'delay for traffic lights' = 120 seconds. this would help improve both routing and eta as traffic light / junction delays could be taken into account.
it would be different to IQ routes as more devices could use the data and it wouldn't be harvested 'on the sly' by paying users who then have to pay to use the data again :D

Top idea! Throw days of the week and time of day into the mix and your onto a winner. I thought that the manufacturers were under the knife to produce this stuff anyway. _________________ Dom

Avoid a city e.g. Paris, and better still, a Country, as in Switzerland. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
