920 wont turn on!!

I just plugged my tomtom into the comp to do the updates and it did it, then after i unplugged it it wont turn on.

When i plug it into the comp now i keep getting a message saying "USB device not recognised" but the green light stays on at the bottom right to say its connected. I just tried plugging it into another comp and the same message comes up on that 1 about the device not being recognised.

I also tried plugging it in to the car charger but it still wont turn on.

Can anyone help please.

First... have you tried a reset with a paperclip in the hole on the bottom?

Second.... here are a batch of things you can try, described on the TomTom website HERE

Third... try the "search" feature here to see if anyone else has had a similar situation.

If none of those work, we'll have another think...

I found the paper clip reset solution worked with my 730, as the first time I connected it, I found it wouldn't switch on after disconnecting from the docking station.
I have also found that after undocking, the power on switch needs to be depressed for about 5-6 seconds in order to power up. After that it's OK.
