Ive had this for some months now and its fanstatic as a GPS but the lack of Speed Camera alerts mean i only tend to use it on routes i know.
The address entry is very simple as it blanks out letters that are not possible in that address.
I have a mate at sony so will get him to ask the developers about cameras.
Its also very fast. I mean screaming! Does take a long time to find a signal though and if you go through the slightest of underpasses it loses signal.
If you have PSP already and some spare cash its a good back up GPS device. But as a sole device I would look at TT.

Hi All

I just got the Go!Explore for my PSP. Great bit of kit.
Now how can you extract the log data in a usable format? I can find the data in the folders on the memory card (UCES00882TRACK000) It has three files,
ICON0.png (image for display on the save data folder on the PSP)
PARAM.SFO and a THE.DAT file neither of which I can't get any usable date from.
What I would like to do is extract this data to tie it to the time I have taken photographs and then place the position data to the Photographs.
Another thing I would be interested in doing is to be able to load way-point data to the PSP
Any help would be greatly appreciated

in the PDA version of iGO8 you can go to "Manage / Track Logs / Export" to export them as gpx files.

not sure what options you get on the PSP though

As far as I can see in the manual, it has no option to export, it is only in device options only -
This is a bummer and Sony needs to address this, there is so much more one wants to do with GPS data other than keep it on the memory card

I am going to try and look into this deeper when I get home,

I don't see any way to do this and the product is now dead in the water as far as Sony is concerned.

Am I right in thinking Sony have now dropped this product completely with no updates of maps etc, It still appears to be for sale (retail), so is this old stock with out of date maps.
Receivers are still advertised on ebay and some complete units, not that I have seen the software as stand alone so far ( only just started looking at this product )
Is this another one like TomTom Navigator which had support for earlier PDA's dropped, and now no longer appears to have map udates available ( despite confusing advertising in some quarters )

Just checked Comet on line, PSP Go Explore available in stock at Stockton on Tees for just over £89
Wonder how many are buying a dead duck ( with no intention of putting it in the oven ) ?
