New here and need some help ...TT Go 920

Hi all,

I am new here and am probably about to ask the oldest question.

I have a Go 920 that I could not live without and have just upgraded the maps. However i also have an XDA orbit that has gps and was wondering if i can put the map on this unit too

The short answer is No.

A longer answer is: Tomtom maps are compiled by tomtom to work only with their software. The map that you have downloaded for your Go 920 will be a version 7.something (or possibly a version 8.something) map. These maps only work with version 7 or version 8 software on the tomtom. As version 7 or 8 tomtom software isn't available for an XDA orbit the map won't work.

Tomtom maps are also locked to a specific device so the map that you downloaded wouldn't even work on another Go 920.
