I've read all of the posts I can find on this and think I've got it straight, but I'm now suffering from information overload and would just like some confirmation.

I've already got the UK speed camera database installed on my Nuvi 760T using Ash's wonderful Camera Manager, but I'm now looking at installing the European cameras as well, as I'm off to France soon.

I've downloaded the "EUR - Speed Zoned Complete" camera data and used POILoader to generate a GPI file, setting POILoader to "Meters and KPH" and "Express" mode - are those the correct settings?

I then renamed the GPI file so that it didn't conflict with the existing UK cameras file already on the Nuvi, and copied it to the Nuvi into the usual /garmin/poi folder.

Does all that sound ok?

Also, once I'm in France will it matter whether I have the Nuvi set to MPH or KPH as far as the camera alerts are concerned? My understanding is that the Nuvi will sort it all out - is that right?

Thanks for any help.

Tony

Sounds about right to me.

I loaded my Euro cameras slightly differently, in that I used POIloader to put them in the unit, then renamed the file once it was on the unit. This allows you to use Ash's utility to set warning distances etc. I then loaded all my other POIs, including UK cameras in the normal way.

You are correct that the unit will sort out speeds, as long as you loaded the Euro cameras with the settings in KMH rather than MPH.

Ok, thanks for that. Sounds like I was on the right track.
