I currently run Tomtom on an HP3870 pocket PC. This has worked fine for ages but has suddenly developed a strange problem. When running Tomtom on battery power, after about 30 seconds or so, the screen will fade to nothing. Pressing the 'On' switch causes the unit to re-boot, however this process fails partway through and the screen once again goes blank. The only way to resolve the problem it to attach the unit to an external power souce. This enables the re-boot sequence to complete. Checking he battery status after this shows the battery level at full. Also, using the IPAQ on battery for any other function does not result in this problem. Any ideas?

buy a new battery (ebay etc)
TomTom is a processor hog, and drains the battery quicker than other apps. Your old battery just can't handle the stress any more. _________________ Lutz

Hello wadste
I agree with Lutz
I had a similar problem with my old 2110 and a new batt fixed that.
I also took the opportunity to get a higher capacity batt.
