Hi All

Is it possible to buy up-to-date maps for the C510E. I'm happy with the guidance, but the maps I have (2007.1 I think) are very much out of date now.

Cheers

Si.

I think that Mio have given up on the x10 machines. I have a 710 and the same maps as you. I have not seen any other updates, and now they are in cohorts with Navman, I expect even less. Their support has always been a bit appalling.
The TomTom people complain about TT support, but at least they get some.
So in direct answer to your question, probably not. I presume that you have tried the Mio website. I gave up long ago.

You'd be better getting iGo8 software and putting that on the C510, it comes with 2008.1 maps.

That is just what I would like to do on my 710.
Perhaps you know a legal way of doing this?

Well, buying the iGo8 software and using it via SD card - whilst realising that it is far from perfect and does lock up occasionally. You will lose bluetooth. I said previously that the iGo SD card software doesn't work with the Mio PNA device. Well, I was wrong. It does work albeit not perfectly.

But anyway the 2008 maps provided with iGo8 are not updates of the 2007 maps - they are the same maps.
