Thanks, it was set on GMT. It obviously doesn't change automatically for Summer time. I'll have to try and remember next time. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Thank you,
That's what I like about this website, I had a suggestion for your problem and you have now put my my mind at rest regarding my inability to edit in some thread/forums. |

Perhaps the staff could explain if this is policy or a fault? |

when we decided to add an off-topic forum it was agreed between the team not to allow editing in this sub-forum alone. all other sub-forums were unaffected

I can remember when the Off Topic section was started, that there were a few members adding their posts as a contribution to the topic, then a few day's later either altering or deleting them making the entire thread 'mumbo Jumbo'.
The PGPSW team left the edit off the Off Topic area to keep the subject flow readable.
Before you submit your text there is the option to 'Preview' and if your quick enough before the next poster, to follow you, you can also delete your post and start again, - as i've just done to add this last paragraph. _________________ TomTom Go 60

GJF,
Just trying your suggestion of deleting and adding before the next poster!
I knew about the Preview. |

Surely it's even more important that the subject flow should be readable in the other forums.
I believe there should be no edit facility at all. As GJF says, if you preview before submitting there's no need to edit. _________________ Anita
