It appears that the PC Mobile serial Bluetooth adaptor has been discontinued. Is there an alternative? Will a bluetooth dongle inserted in the USB port work?

Hi,

You're excused for double-posting as no answer was forthcoming here. Wink

Hi AlleyCat,

Thanks for the reply and info. In the meantime I decided to go another route and splash out on the Magellan Mobile Mapper 6. This is a GPS running Windows Mobile (so I can use ArcPad). The unit has only just come out and I am wait-listed by a US supplier. I decided to try this route as there are too many complaints about bluetooth GPS / PDA connections. Also the Magellan is weatherproof and droppable (up to 1m). As I am a field geologist working in the tropics (Mozambique) robustness counts a lot! The all-in-one unit also means less battries to run out.

Will keep my GPSMap76CX as it is a great instrument - robust, big screen and very fast acquisition.

Regards,

Nalced
