Anyone had a problem with this setup, just get “No Fix”.
Tried all permutations of COM port, Baud Rate and BT manger settings with no luck.
Have the latest copy of Fugawi 3.1.0.473
Did a hard reset & just have Fugawi loaded to rule out any other problems.
Help!

Don't connect the Socket BT to anything, just let it sit outside with a good view to the sky. you should see the blue LED blinking and the green LED steady until it got a fix. Have you ever seen the green LED blinking? _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the reply. When ever I tried to sync, the GPS always had a lock (green light blinking), I’d been using ttn2 without any probs and while tt was loaded I could see approx 8 sat fix.
It would appear the generic problems of BT are the same for Fugawi, when I tried to syn the BT manager came up to select the BT device listed (pair bonded), when selected the pda just locked. Tried different combo’s of getting around this again with no luck.
Put in the fix for BT manager BtBrowerEnabled=0, this meant I had to turn on BT before entering Fugawi, NMEA 0183 / COM 8 left the Baud rate 4800, but later changed to 38400, hey presto it works!!!!
When Fugawi was first loaded, the above BT fix was loaded, and I can remember trying Com 8, but no luck. Obviously something wasn’t quite right, unfortunately until you see the program running it’s difficult to know what’s up. |

Loaded TTn2.24/GPS 2.09 now tt works ok, Fugawi has resorted back to the original prob……..after enabling BT I get onstarting Fugawi:-
Port Error
Communications Error 55
Invalid Port Handle
Seems I can have one app loaded at a time not both!
Any suggestions would be welcomed… |

The magic number in the formula is TT 2.09 drivers. TomTom drivers are "fixed" by TT to prevent any other application using the GPS.
The solution to the problem is to install the TT 2.07 drivers, which doesnt hve the fix in it. The drivers should not affect the performance of TomTom. This is the setup I use on a daily basis. _________________ Mike Barrett |
