The Streetpilot i3 I have has decided to stop recognising the clicking of the centre scroll wheel. The wheel functions ok when scrolling and actually clicks when pressed but nothing happens. Garmin quote £72 as a standard repair cost but as new are available for less it seams that I must bin it!
Any comments please?

Take it to bits and clean out any dirt that might be lodged in the area around the wheel, I did post some pictures on the forum a while back that detailed how to take the i3 to bits - Mike |

Thanks Mike
Took the cover off as suggested, the switch was a sealed unit but with a little help re-soldered the 4 terminals to the switch and all is working now.
That saved me buying a new one!

Well done it is nice to see someone who is willing to try and fix a faulty unit these days we all tend to simply replace them - Mike |
