Darren,

Following your earlier comments I decided to try charging through the BT device jack, instead of via the cradle jack. I don't understand why but I lost GPS on a couple of occasions. This is the first time I have ever lost the GPS signal, despite daily use.

I repeated the same route with the charging cable connected through the BT cradle jack and never lost the GPS once.

I do think that it's a backwards step for TomTom to stop supplying the cradle.

I've had problems too when charging the through the BT device jack. I lose the blue light and no matter what I do, cannot get it to stay on until I disconnect the charging cable.

Whereas if I use the cradle everything works smoothly.

Tomtom seem to have the wrong end of the stick here...the cradle is a must!

It is possible that they have made modifications to the firmware to correct these issues but we don't have a later model to evaluate and TomTom aren't saying!

Will TomTom sell a cable and cradle? I would like one for the other car.

They no longer offer the cradle as part of the new packages so I doubt it.
