Loss off Gps Signal

Recently we had a tracker fitted to our dotcom vans and since then my Garmin Nuvi 200w unit keeps losing the satellite signal.

The unit works fine in my car so my question is will the tracker that's fitted on the van cause the satellite signal to be lost to my Nuvi 200w unit?

Quite possible if the tracker transmiter aerial is near to your 200. A very high power signal (compared to the very low power sat signals you are trying to receive) can cause issues with the RF stages of the sat nav. What I am thinking of here is that something like the Automatic Gain Control can get confused into backing off the amplification due to the strong adjacent signal. Try siteing the 200 in a different position.
