Hi al,
Been having a few issues with tomtom working on my PDA.
I have an orange M5000 with Windows mobile 5.
I have removed all ports and bluetooth connections and recreated them, and it picks up the device ok on Port 0.
When I configure Tomtom to use "otherbluetoot device and then select port 0" i still get no signal.
As a test I have tried the software on my N95 and this connects to the GPS unit fine, Although no maps, obviously. so I know it is not that.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Have a read through This Which was written using an XDA Exec, IIRC the 5000 is the same device, don't forget to set the outgoing comm port as this is the step that is often missed - Mike |

Cheers mike,
Will have a good look, no Outgoing port was set, and serial port selected.
Mmm, will try the link and test again.
Thanks

Tried this,
Still having issues, I am using the Globsat BT-359, and the bluetooth signal shoule flash quickly.
Again this works fine with the N95, pairs great, but will not join wiht the WM5 PDA.
Any more ideas? I must be missing something.
I have tried using any number of outgoing ports with no luck.
Many thanks

What Comm port did it select for the Outgoing port ? This is the one you tell TomTom to use. Port 0 doesn't seem right at all.
On my old WM5/TTNAV6 system it offered me ports 6 or 7 - either of which worked.
You aren't trying to use the WM GPS management utility are you? I couldn't get TT to work with it at all reliably - and unless you really want several applications using the GPS at the same time it's not really that useful. _________________ Phil |
