OK. First things first.

Who makes the GPS400?

Does it definately accept 3rd party POIs?

If you do a Search for GPS400 there are lots of results. I believe that a lot are with reference to POIs.

The Link on the Camera Page takes you to a Topic on the subject.

This Post, by Paul80 on the first page covers, I think, the information that you need.

this refers to speed cameras right? I managed to do the speed cameras about a year ago. Is it the same routine for the POI's?

It is with most satnavs. They are, after all, only POI locations.

Thanks Oldboy for the help, but it seems Im having a blank moment. I cannot get it to work. Ive tried to follow the instructions,
"Option 2

Use console as normal but just select the convert option of loading your POI file

This will create a DAT file of the same name as your POI.

Do not use the down load option as it will delete the DAT file.

One you have created all your DAT files use explorer to move them from the

C:\Program Files\DestinatorApps\Collection\Console\IndepIndep\Favorites

directory to the DestinatorApps\Destinator\UserData\Favorites directory on your unit. "

when i select convert i get under report

39 records loaded
File created
Count of bad Records =1719

This is what im actually doing.... (should have posted i guess)

i download the POI as a zip file and open and save them to my desktop under POI.

Then I open the Destinator console.
Under "Convert & Download" I browse to my POI file and click "convert"

Under Report it says "39 records loaded, File Created, count of bad records 1719"

If i browse to "C:\DestinatorApps\Collection\Console\IndepIndep\Favorites" it contains a "POI video/cd movie file"

am i going wrong?

How many POI categories are you downloading, Nicky?

There may be a limit on the number you can put on the device. 39 maybe? (Sorry if I'm talking rubbish here. Wink I know nothing about this device!)

Did you download them as separate files per sub-category or combined? If separate how many of the sub-categories did you select? Food & drink alone has 80 sub-categories.

As I said, I know nothing about your set-up and it may well handle POIs differently, but they aren't usually shown under Favourites. Confused
