Garmin Nuvi 860

I sent an email to Garmin asking as to when the 860 was going to be coming into stock so that I can order one.

I have just heard to day that they will be coming out in the thrird quarter, not the second. I have just been onto the Garmin website today and the release date for the UK Version has disapeared.

Does anyone know whats going on ?

Not sure this will help much, but I was told that there are problems with the 860. I've been waiting a month (posted a request for news on here) and was told by a London retailer of problems.

I do suspect problems though because I nearly ordered it off Amazon.de - but have discovered last week that it is no longer on their website (i.e. not even listed as out of stock).

So maybe it has a few bugs to be ironed out!

Many thanks for that, I did feel that there was something afoot witt the 860. I am getting the old 670 cable taken out the car tomorrow so the chap from Autosounds is going to give Garmin a ring and find out what the "gen" is as to speak.

I can't wait for it to come so lets hope that it's not too long.
