Phonebook on S50

I have a Motorola Razr2 V8 phone and have managed to pair it with the S50 and make and receive calls. However when I transferred the Phonebook the names all came up as squares rather than Alpha characters something to do with character sets I guess. Is there a file I can edit to get the Phonebook displaying names correctly.

I have found the contacts file in My Documents however I can see the numbers but the names make no sense. Should this be a comma delimeted file or something else?

Which language do you have set on your phone? Is it something with non-Latin characters (e.g. Chinese, Russian etc)?

standard UK Phone with usual Alphabetical character set.
