There is no way to get the old CoPilot software talking to a nonm CoPilot type Navman sleeve, many haver tried and all failed sorry.

Your best bet would be to update the software, you don't have to go with CoPilot, TomTom Navigator, Destinator, Navman SmartST, all will work with that jacket.

what i like about the copilot is that it tells u what road to turn into, e.g. "0.3 miles ahead take a right into talbot road".. what software does that apart from co pilot? i also need software which u can input before your jounrney to navigate around certain roads.. This is because i drive big lorries and due to bridges and width limits on roads... Any advice??? As i am now going to purchase new software then i might aswell have all that i need!!! :D

CoPilot is still the only one with good TTS (Text to Speech) although it's a personal taste thing, I myself find the robotic voice irritating and prefer the simpler 'turn right in 500yards' type announcement.

As for the HGV query, we have a HGV User forum here so you would be best posting a query there and seeing what other drivers use and recommend.
