Hi All,
This is more of an observation than a question. When I use my TT 720 to play MP3s it interfaces quite well with my car and I can store loads of tracks on a 2GB SD card. When TT makes an announcement, it mutes the MP3 sound - obviously. What bugs me is that it doesn't actually mute the MP3 track, it pauses it instead. As soon as the announcement is done, the tune carries on from the point it was paused, a few seconds behind my monotone humming. Can't find a way to change this and TT customer support, whilst being sympathetic, couldn't help either but recorded my comment for possible consideration for a future upgrade.

If you use a Bluetooth car stereo for mp3 playback from the TomTom you are offered the option not to pause the music between navigation instructions, this works very well, it is a shame this option isn't made available when using FM or line out, but it isn't - The audio quality is considerably better than any other method, something to consider when you are next looking at a new deck for the car - Mike |

I guess it's horses for courses....
If you were listening to an audiobook or a story on mp3 (I've done lots for the kids) then you WOULD want it to pause... |

Agreed, it all depends what you prefer. In fact even in the case of normal MP3s (i.e. songs) I prefer it that they are paused. But yeah, TomTom could certainly make that optional in the future. |
