|
|
My wife has just bought a TT One UK and Ireland and I'm intending to buy a One Europe.
Is it possible to take out one sub to TT's camera update service and install the same camera database on both TTs?
TIA,
Si. |

No, if you choose TomTom's service you will need to purchase a subscription for each device that you wish to use it on.
However, if you were to choose ours (which is a much better service) our licence permits you to install the database from one subscription on ANY device owned by you or members of your family living under the same roof.
This is just one of the many advantages our database has, have a quick read of our Why choose the PGPSW database? guide. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Sadly Darren I don't think your database includes enough European cameras for it to be worth my while...
I've had this discussion in the Garmin group when trying to decide which product to go for....

So you think that even though the TomTom offering is lamentably bad in the UK, it will be better for Europe? |

We've just travelled through Belgium with my old man's TT One...it worked a treat.
The PGPSW database has 61 Belgian cameras listed.
Nowhere near the real figure.

Could I suggest a compromise here, install the TT database to a single device and the PGPSW database to both devices (it won't cost you any more additional cash, and it will offer additional protection while in the UK where the TT offering is not very good at all).
While in Europe use both devices and if you find cameras that are actually present at the roadside but not in the PGPSW database submit these locations - you might even qualify for a free lifetime subscription to the PGPSW database by doing this and the more people that report camera locations the better for all using the data - Mike |
