Help please - One screwed up.

I have a problem with my TomTom One. Over the weekend I added an external USB drive to my PC. I connected my One to the computer tonight and tried to download the updates via Home. The update failed due to files being not found, it was looking for the One on the old drive letter, which had changed. Used ‘safely remove hardware’ to stop the One as normal but when I unplugged the USB cable it just came up with a screen with a pair of hands with an X across. I held in the reset button but every time I switch it on it just goes to the same screen. I have swapped the drive letters around so it now has the original letter assigned. If I try and look at the One using explorer it says the drive wants formatting.

Hope this makes sense.

If you have a backup and Explorer shows NOTHING on the "drive" which should be your device, then you might want to go ahead with the format and then restore.

You might also want to just check it on another computer - you don't need Home, just do the Explorer thing again.
