Welcome

Interesting point of view but along with Andy_P2002 I completely disagree. I feel that we are sleep walking further and further into the big brother surveillance society where our every move is watched and tracked and I don't like it.

As for GPS tracklog data this can be a useful tool in protecting a driver from false accusation and might even in the future allow for much cheaper insurance as the companies can separate out the responsible drivers from the minority of bad drivers we all pay for.

Watch out! I'm one of that minority! Laughing Wink

Has anyone else had a problem with the latest NavCore update for the Rider (7.540). I installed it yesterday and found that I was unable to turn the device off.It would go to shut down screen (the green put-it-in-the-bag one), go black and then restart by itself. Found out the hard way when my battery ran out when I thought it was off.

Hi imagomaya and welcome... Smile

I guess you didn't really mean to add this to a topic about "Is Big Brother watching?" Smile
Don't be afraid to start a new topic of your own, there's a big button to do just that at the top left of the index page for each section of the forum.
anyway, I've heard a couple of reports of TT's not switching off (or possibly switching back on again) on new software. I think both were refering to the Go910 model, but as there are fewer Riders around they could have the same issue, but no-one else has reported it yet.

One workround I've seen to try is to "clear route" before you switch off.
Not a good long-term solution, but if it works it might show it is the same problem.
