I have always been interested in GPS having worked on the original Navstar programme whilst working for Rockwell Collins. However, I didn’t realise just how far the technology had advanced until I came across this wonderful website! I have decided to buy an iPAQ H2210 and a Fortuna Clip-On Bluetooth GPS. Many thanks to ‘Bengt’ for the great webpages and insight into this combo! I want to use the rig in the UK but I am also lucky enough to own a house in the south of France which I travel to every twelve weeks. For this I intend to buy TomTom 3, although I was very tempted by the Kerrio offer as the ViaMichelin on-line route instructions are very, very good especially around Paris. However, my question is this. I currently use the IGN ‘Top 25’ maps for walking and want to use the GPS instead. One of the posts on this forum mentioned the CartoExploreur products. Their site mentions three products: CartoExploreur 3, CartoExploreur 3 Joker and CartoExploreur 3 DOM. My French is not that good and I cannot figure out what products I need for the H2210. Does anybody have experience of these applications?
