Inside the map folder of my wife's TT ONE 3rd Edition Great Britain and Ireland.
This is from a backup before I made any changes.

twotonemark...
Your list isn't showing the full filenames.
It looks like you haven't set your Explorer viw to show ALL file extensions, so Windows isn't showing the ones it THINKS it knows about.
To get the full picture you need to:
go to either My Computer or Windows Explorer and:
Go to the 'Tools' Menu,
Select 'Folder Options'
Select the 'View' tab
Scroll down the list of entries and UN-tick "Hide extensions for known file types"
(While you are there, you could also TICK 'Show hidden files and folders" too. While not strictly necessary, this will let you see EVERYTHING on your PC's and TomTom's storage).
Then you should see the files include
"cline.dat"
"faces.dat" and
"Safety_Cam_UK_TomTom.ov2.dct"
Oh, and by the way, you haven't got a "v3" you've got a "3rd Edition". A v3 was actually one of the early "New Edition" Ones (later re-named by TT as the "2nd Edition". Yours is probably a "v6" - you can check in Home.
Tim... if all you want to do is get rid of all the PGPSW camera database files, just delete everything with names starting "PocketGPS...." |

Andy thanks for the education, I'm always learning new things on this site
I've updated my screen shot following your advice on file extensions etc.
Thanks. _________________ iPhone 6 - TomTom WE- CamerAlert - Brodit Passive Adjustable mount.

Cheers, and thanks for the updated screenshot
You've got that nice Mr Gates to blame for hiding the truth from us...
It doesn't matter so much in Windows, but as the TomTom is Linux based, some of the files have an ordinary extension, some have none, and some have two! Can get very confusing when Windows then hides just SOME of them! |
