This is a bug in the 7.480/1 software as Home 2.3 and 7.221 software correctly reports my 920 as such when using 'operate my device'.

But of course because I have TomTom Navigator 6 it still only gives me Home v1.5
Please make it clear that you are only talking about Home for the dedicated TomTOm devices, and that the poor sods who have spent good money on the software alone are getting left far behind.

We're pretty much assuming TT for anything other than TT PNDs has been EOLed, so you might be SOL there.

Kar98 :

Who's the "We" you're referring to when making your pretty assumptions ?

What does "EOLed" and "SOL" mean ?

I am one of many who switched to TomTom and purchased two copies of the software for two separate PDA devices ( Ipaq and Mio ) when Navman decided to stop supporting these devices.

If Tom Tom are also going to stop supporting them then perhaps THEY should be the ones to say so - or are you "One of them" ?? Rolling Eyes

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who asked that - I had to look them up and these are the best matches I could find:

EOL - end of line, EOLed = discontinued

SOL - sadly outta luck

Jakers!! I had to look it up too - I do sometimes wish people wouldn't use acronyms, especially those which aren't commonly known Wink

edit - correction of SOL, now showing correctly above

Since the website I checked earlier says "SOL Sadly Outta Luck (polite form)" I wonder what yours said before the edit! Shocked

I found something which sounded vaguely right, then I found another site which said "Sadly outta luck" and edited it 'cos I thought that was better

The proper (but not politically correct) word starts with 's' and ends with 'hit' Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Thanks, dhn, I did wonder if that was the "non-polite" form!

I'm sure that wasn't what a nice boy like GPS_fan put, but if it was he should wash his mouse out with soap!

EDITED to add Stop! Off Topic
Sorry! Embarassed

No, I didn't put anything that wasn't polite Supreme Angel

My initial search only found a couple of possibilities and because Kar98 was shown to be across the pond, I thought it might fit:

Skilled Occupation List

However, a subsequent search (at a more civilised hour) found the Sadly Outta Luck alternative

Seeing that nobody else had responded within this thread, I (incorrectly) tried to edit the correct, more appropriate meaning for that acronym into the thread.

With hindsight, what I should probably have done is simply edited this 'new' translation into the bottom of my post, leaving the previous one in situ.
