Dialing contacts from a Dell Axim

Hi

I'm a novice where pda's are concerned. I have a dell axim x51 and I would like it to call my contacts via my mobile phone (samsung 900i). I have tried for ages to make this work but have now given up. The pda comes up with an error message saying no response from modem?

I tried with a nokia phone also and it came back with the same error message. I down loaded some software to enable connection, but this didn't work either. (BT dialer)

I used to run an Acer pda and this pda did dial my contacts through the phone.

I am running windows mobile 5 on the Dell Axim. Any help and easy instructions would be welcome.
